I had the pleasure of sitting down with Keith Mellingen, the VR director of Bergen based IT consultancy, Rainfall.no, a good partner of Vimond. Keith spends a good deal of time producing 360 videos and helped us to understand just what "VR" means, be it virtual reality, mixed reality, augmented reality or extended reality.
How can VR be applicable to a producer of television is really what I wanted to get to the heart of. Demystify this latest buzzword into a tool for today.
In essence my takeaway is that a showrunner should absolutely be thinking VR (in this case 360 video specifically) for promos, a powerful behind the scenes tool.
